Dear parents, dear members,
We are approaching the beginning of the ice skating season, with new coaches and a new Committee. We find it important to share with you more details about the strategy we intend to implement over the coming years and to communicate with you about its consequences for the skaters and for the fee structure that is different from last year.
Our new Head coach, Ulla Papp, will implement a new system somewhat copied from the successful Canadian system in order to have a very professional organisation in place. This means the previous group names are changing.
Skaties and Adults will remain.
Detection, Avenir, Pre-competition and Gala will all be invited to the Junior Academy. Skaties will during the whole season have the possibility to transfer to Junior Academy depending on dedication and skill
Competition group and Gala Avancé will be invited to LTC (Learn To Compete).
This new system is a long-term development plan for both the individual skater and the club’s future success. Ulla has the ambition to teach all the fundamentals a figure skater needs in order to compete, but in a fun way. At a higher level there is no pressure to compete if a skater chooses not to. In fact, Ulla has a very healthy way of looking at training methods and training amount.
